FS: 1910's Baseball Fan's Boater with 2 Reach pins & Indians ticket
I bought this in the March Legendary auction for $239, and will sell for that amount, OBO. It comes with a Cleveland Indians ticket which I'm sure is much more modern and was stuck in the pug at a later date. It's a size 7 1/8
It also comes with two very nice Reach advertising pins that were pinned in the pug for a long, long time: one is a tougher 'American Association' pin with a full, well-centered paper ad insert. The other is 'American League' and the paper ad insert is shifted and missing most of the middle.
Here is the auction description (they are wrong about the ticket age): "While the actual time period of the straw boater hat is difficult to determine, the ticket and baseball pins are from the 1910s time period and were affixed to the hat when originally acquired. The 1-3/4" x 2-5/8" grandstand ticket has "Cleveland Base Ball Company" across the top along with a $1.00 admission price (VG/EX). There are two 1" Reach "Official American Association" pins attached to the hatdband (both NM). The hat itself has a 4" split where the top meets the brim, but presents in generally EX condition. A nice, vintage display piece from the early days of the game."
