Let's say for some reason you had to sell your entire tobacco box collection, what would you sell it for. Keep in mind that the majority of people here would never sell them. So if an emergency or something came up and you had to sell you collection, what would you demand?
I have a collection of 15 (T205, T206, and other boxes) that I would demand $10,000 for. Mainly because I don't want to sell them. If I did, I would never be able to replace them. And I would probably resent it the rest of my life if I sold them. Do you feel the same way? |

I have a similar problem with my signed T206 collection. 75% of them are basically irreplaceable. The prices on them has skyrocketed recently, and I've sold off most of what few dupes I've been fortunate to collect. But if I ever sold the rest, I'm sure I'd be happy with the money for a little while -- but I bet I'd miss the lion's share of them, regardless of what they earned me.

I don't think I would know what to ask for many of the items as there are no real historical sales for comparison. I know I couldn't replace several of them including the Drum, Mino, Kotton, Gypsy Queen and a few others. The whole collection might bring a pretty penny in auction.

Because out of all the stuff in my collection, I find myself thinking about the Broadleaf box I posted recently more than anything else. Its just so cool to me: the graphics, the rarity and what it represents. Interested to see other responses. So far we all seem to find it hard to sell these. Good question Brian.

There are a few errors that I know are irreplaceable and hard to put a value on. If I do sell them I'm sure it will hurt for many many years.
As far as packs go, I think that some are so far and few between that even if one showed up it might be a battle to win it. I'd love a Drum, Cycle or Lenox one day.
