Default Why is it more uncommon to see Southern League miscuts?

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a nice January so far.

Anyways, I have always heard that Southern Leaguers are not often found miscut, and I find that to be the case. When ever I am searching for Southern Leaguers, I usually never run into them. I believe the last one I saw was a McCaulley t206, PSA 3 (MC) on ebay. Well, after thinking about this topic it finally hit me, I realized that I have a severely miscut Lafitte GAI 3.5. I would say that the second name on top is about 3/4 present. It's an interesting and beautiful card. With that being said, I was wondering why this is less common as opposed to other commons and Hall of Famers. Any help/information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's due to the fact they are outnumbered 10:1 by other subjects in the set and 99% of those cards are much easier to find. Likely, one out of every 30 T206 cards is an SL card, so one out of 30 miscuts would probably be an SL card too. When you see 29:1 ratio, you'll tend to think they don't show up often...numbers are just fact-based guesses on my part, but you get the point

Well that does make sense! I never looked at it like that for some reason. Thank you!
