I saw them and wished I had some money sitting around...it included unknown players and team for that issue and a few future major league players.

Default rose co cards

went and saw them first hand...

thought it was pretty cool that 8 of the complete 13 were represenented, but the auction went beyond that... there were several team photos cabinets and ledgers that ranged from 1902-1912. the original owner of the lot was a gent by the name of jimmy burnes (byrnes) who played for the springfield ponies championship team in 1908 and later became a fixture in ct as both a sporting goods magnate and coach. he ran a succesful sporting godds business (sold to minor league and professionall clubs). He led trinity to three succesful seasons prior to taking over as the coach in hartford....

Coach burns even managed to play with Team Poli (alongside Babe Ruth) during the year 1918 at muzzy field in bristol ct

I don't collect them but clicked on the link and it looks like it went for $850.

Yeah I realized I wasn't signed in, so it doesn't show the price.

Maggert was not a pitcher. And yes, as far as I know, mine was the first find and this one the second.

Maggert is one of my "Bad Boys" of baseball having been banned from the PCL (where he played from 1909 through 1920).
