Default I am back from the Dead!

Well I have returned to the forum and collecting in general! The Coast Guard has seen fit to move me to WA State so I am now on the West Coast. I still love Cincinnati Reds cards but am now starting to focus on Topps complete sets from the '50's. I have already completed '54, have about 80% of '55 and am contemplating buying inexspensive completed sets for '53, '58 and '59. (Yes all at one time!) Hey what else does a newly divorced man do with his spare time (or money for that matter)?

Anyway, it is nice to be back in the community. As always, I love talking / hearing about old Cincy cards and anything related to my great-great-grand uncle Paul Hines (1st Triple Crown Winner! 1878 - Also, not in the HOF).

Default Welcome BMC

Welcome back Tom, not a whole lot to do in the pacific northwest than collect cards.

Its great to meet a fellow Coastie who also collects cards. I'm an assignment officer (not the BM) and hopefully my final tour will be somewhere more tropical than here in Arlington.

Good luck on your collecting endeavor.

Hey Tom,

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!

I live in Mukilteo, but work in Everett and have been collecting for about 10 years. I have been collecting 1933 Goudey's, 1938 Goudey's, t205's and 1914 Cracker Jacks. There are some great collectors in our neck of the woods and some wonderful shows to attend.

Welcome to the forum!

Best regards,

Barry

Default Thank you everyone!

Thank you all for the kind words! It is nice to be back in the world of card collecting.

Andrew - Unfortunately I do not have anything from Uncle Paul. I have managed to snag a few of his cards over the years however.

Frank - It is nice to meet you Sir. Feel free to say hi to Mr. Dalee for me. He and I were stationed in Chincoteague together a few years back. I was the XPO at the ANT while he was the EO at the SFO. It is always nice to meet a fellow card collecting coastie.

Barry - Keep me in the loop on the local shows. I love to walk the shows and take my two sons (10 and 8). Unfortunately the bulk of my collection is still back in VA. I hope to bring most of them out west during the spring.

Have a great holiday and a Happy New Year!

Tom

I agree with Frank. There's not a lot to do in the pacific northwest except for collecting cards...or chasing after bigfoots (bigfeet?)
