Full page handwritten letter on his stationery. Includes the original envelope addressed in Cobb's hand. Letter has been matted (was framed but the glass broke and the frame was rather cheap). Is attached to the matte with archival tape can be easily removed from the whole thing without damage.
$1750 shipped/insured. |

It is really cool they way Cobb takes that much time and thought to make sure the person who wrote him understands that he wants to honor her request. For a guy with a surly reputation, he seemed to handle autograph requests very well as an old guy.

Has it ever been authenticated? It's an awesome looking piece, and I'm sure it's authentic, but, would be nice to know (problems with JSA/PSA/DNA aside anyway).

Hi Mike -
No offense, and please note I'm not jumping on you (this is a TPA rant) but I'm not interested in paying a "tax" to either of the third party authenticators for their opinion. Especially after both of them didn't pass an item (and kept the money of course) that I witnessed getting signed myself. I've been collecting autographs for nearly 40 years, longer I'm sure than a lot of those working for the TPAs. I know the piece is good. I don't need to pay 10% of the item's value for someone else to tell me that. I don't begrudge the service at all, people want peace of mind but seriously, hand-written letters and documents are about as good as it gets with autographs in terms of legitimacy. I have in the past, and always will stand behind anything I sell for life (yours, mine or the item). Cheers, Jerry |

That is awesome Jerry!
FWIW, I would hunt down anyone who made a 'cut' out of that. What great content!
