Can the experts help me with this Larry Doby rookie card??

I need a little help with this Larry Doby rookie card. I know the card is trimmed, hand cut and what not. The issue isn't there. I have never seen one with this colored background. Is that normal for this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
