Default my pre war Ty Cobb

Well as it stands as I go on my lookout for a prewar Ty Cobb in his playing days prices are around 500 and up which is not much to me cause I know you gotta spend the money to get the best and I am very willing to do so.

Just some thoughts on some Cobb's I was thinking

1909 E101 set of 50
1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel
1909 E90-1 American Caramel
1910 E93 Standard Caramel
maybe a tobacco issue

The e101 will be the pricey one, as it is his first appearance on a caramel card and considered by some his "rookie card"

My personal preference would be in order:

1. E101 this one is my favorite Cobb pose
2. E93
3. E95
4. E90-1

Just my thoughts of course.

I feel like there's no beating the T206 Green Portrait Cobb or the Bat Off Cobb.

my favorite any of the t206 mostly not for heritage or popularity but they look too cool to not have in a collection

your best bet at a $500 cobb is the e90-1, and that will be in poor condition. not sure if you'd still want it to show it off.

maybe find a nice eye appeal altered one if you don't mind. i'm only speaking of the caramels...

My favorites are the E95, T205 and the T206 green portrait. Those are classics for a reason.

The E101 is a great card, even if it wasn't his 'rookie' non-postcard card, and I would love to have one with good registration, in lower grade. Some day....

I don't think you can beat the image on a CJ Cobb. Just save up and get one with decent eye appeal and I don't think you'll ever regret it.
