Default 1914 Matty Cracker Jack

I'm curious as to how many members have owned a 1914 Matty Cracker Jack. This is an excellent example, great color, with obvious corner issues, which warranted the Authentic grade. I would be willing to sell if I am offered the right price. I am not pressured to sell it, but just wanted to show it off and get some comments.

very nice! I've never owned one and due to the cost it will likely forever be one of a handful of holes in the 1914 CJ set I'm putting together (along with Cobb, Wagner, Peckinpaugh, etc). Good luck w/showing it off!

Congrats on owning the card....it is certainly one of the iconic cards in the set. It still is one of the 10 cards I still need to complete the set.

Thanks for sharing.

Rengaw

I a have owned three in the past and wished I had all of them back. I had an SGC 10 with one corner issue similar to yours with great color. I think I got around $4500 to $5K for it. However, I sold a very very nice SGC 30 (crease free only 2 tiny pinholes) for over $12K. With that being said I would imagine yours somewhere in the $3-4K range, but I could be off. This card is unique and can go for variable prices in a given time. Good luck with it.

Hey Jason,

We too have owned 3 or 4 of them, and always are able to sell them. Very high demand card. I'll see if I can dig up a pix of a time we owed 3 at one time. LOVE this card.

What is this card? It looks like a live action photo of the pose on the actual CJ card, then superimposed on the card background.

i prefer the '15 portrait. the '14 is overrated because of the huge price tag, but i think the lower end ones are going down in price.

How long have you owned the middle one? It looks like the one I traded to Jim Manos years back. I purchased it from Dan Paradis. The scans of that one and the SGC that was really nice is on my other computer. It is currently unhooked, but I will try to fetch some scans and post later.

Sorry Jason, that is an old pix, from a few years ago, we had a "2" and two "1's". Don't own any of them now.
