The old "Adventures of Babe Ruth" radio show started most episodes with a long promo for the US Navy.
http://www.archive.org/details/AdventuresOfBabeRuth At 2:00 of episode 5 ("Harry the Hat"), the announcer mentions a Navy-made pamphlet called "Play Ball Around the World," about playing sports in the service. (Guys could get them in recruiting offices.) Has anyone ever seen this pamphlet in the marketplace? I'd love to know how they presented it. |
