Default VCBC issue #9 Buffalo Hunter

The auction is for an issue of VCBC #9 January/February 1997. This is probably the most desirable and famous issue of VCBC due to the Dennis Purdy article Alan Hager: A Buffalo Hunter In A Wild West Hobby, Also has a nice article on T206 "Proof Cards" by Keith Olbermann and an article on Joseph Hall Studio Cards by Net 54's own Barry Sloate. Shipping is $2 we will start the bidding at $3 auction ends Wednesday night at 7:00 Eastern.

payment by check money order or paypal to glynspsa@frontiernet.net

I'll bid $3. If I win, don't mail it just yet. I'll ask Barry to sign his article, and if he will I'll send him a SASE and you can mail it to him!

Very cool. A celebrity signing!

I'd like the issue but don't want to step in the middle of this. If anyone has an extra copy, let me know.

Thanks,

Jason

Glyn, if Barry is willing to sign it, then I'll raise my $3 bid to $4. And if this goes much higher, you gotta start thinking about cutting Barry in for a percentage!!

$5.

An authentic Barry Sloate autograph has got to be worth that alone!

Barry, just don't write anything lame, people are going to be reading that for the next 20 years

Talking true art!

My pal, Glyn: this was in that massive lot you told me about? lol, talk about price-less! This is my favorite issue ever for many reasons!

I will say that these magazines are hard to find and they are great in every way! I'm looking forward to seeing the final price on this! Could we set a publication record of some type??????

BTW, I've been cruising Grand-Slam bids and having a BLAST!
Anyone else use it thus far?
I love it and recommend it!
Regards,
Bill Hedin

ps: good luck on this auction~~~~~~~

Default Thanks Bill

Bill Im still looking for my material on Boston garters that you asked about. All i can tell you is they are rare and beautiful and for some reason the last ones issued mostly seem to have had some sort of restoration done, often painted or recolored in some area. Must have been a find at some point that went thru one of the card doctors hands.

Default John is the winner

Let me know if I'm sending it to you or Barry first to have him sign it. I hope you enjoy the articles as much as i did. Let me know how you'd like to pay and where you'd like it sent. A special thanks to Barry for his offer to sign his article.
