1941 bat
There is a gal that emailed me awhile ago with a bat she has.Here is a list of signatures on it,with my corrections in parentheses.Any ideas of where it may have been signed?
My mistake the date is March 28, 1941. Names on the bat that are legible are, Babe Ruth Dizzy Dean Al Todd Harvey Storey Dick Spalding Stanley Hank (Hack) Billy Herman Paul Erickson Bruce Page? Eddie Wartkus? (Waitkus) Lou Stringer LennieM? (Merullo) ? Hendricksen Herb Ch? Clyde Mc? Les Heringzer? Rabbit or Robert Nar? ? Dallerrando? (Dom Dallesandro) And a few more any with a ? I cannot read the writing very well or make the recognition cause I don't know the players of the era. Let me know if the names make any sense to you. Thank you, Cheryl My guess was that these signatures were obtained in Catalina Island,CA during the Cubs spring training?I know Billy Herman was traded in May of '41 to the Braves.
