How do you spot a 48 leaf ruth reprint?

You could probably ask this on the main board. After all '48 Leaf is close to Pre-war.
In any case, click on the link in the tool bar at the top of the page that says: "Detecting Card Alterations and Reprints." (It's second from the right side.) Then scroll down to :"Judging the Authenticity of Early (Pre-1930) Baseball Cards" (printable version). This should give you a decent start.
