Random Encounters with Net54 Memberrs
There is a lot of discussion about how we all enjoy talking with one another at shows (Chantilly this week-end, the National always). But, have any of you had random encounters with other Net54 members? Meetings in venues that have little, if anything to do with baseball?
I had my first one yesterday. As my wife and I were leaving the Georgia O'Keeffe show (Phillips Collection in Washington, DC), I saw a tall, thin young guy with long hair. Sure enough, it was Zach Rice and after a few polite words about art, we launched into an IMPORTANT subject--T209s. My wife's eyes began to roll--she was defenseless and hungry in an art museum--and Zach and I agreed to talk later. Baseball cards and art--it don't get any better than that, Bubba. Have any of the rest of you had similar encounters with Net54ers? Cheers, Mike
