I'm looking to make some room in the diminishing space my lovely bride is allotting me for my cards. She seems to think shoes are more important...have you ever seen shoes sell for more than you paid? Me either. Anyway, here's my 1980 set - just like I got it out of the packs in Freeport, IL. The only issue is that somewhere along the line, I traded away my nice Henderson and replaced it with the one in the scan. For whatever reason, the number 482 on the back of the card has a small "X" through it in pen, thus putting the card solidly in the "Fair" category. Also, a couple of the team checklists are neatly checked - I'm surprised at how well I stayed in the lines back then...much better than my earlier sets! Other than that, the cards are in NrMt, as seen by the exampes in the scan. They are all in Ultra-Pro pages and ready for a new home, as much as it pains me to see Dave Kingman and his 48 Cub dingers go out the door...oh well, such is life.
In trade, I'm looking for pre-war lesser condition cards. I collect T202s, T205s, any Dick Hoblitzell cards, and also 1952 Topps Cubs and Red Sox cards. I'll also consider any other pre-war, so if you have a lonely Zeenut beater to trade, let me know. It will fit nicely among the shoes and purses until I can get a bigger area fenced off...
Take Care,
Geno
