How much do the 1887 N172's in this condition usually go for? It looks like the seller sold a handful for the same prices. $100 lighter than usual?
Thanks

Matt,
I missed that by an hour... When I saw all the BINs I just knew there was something that was picked up from that lot. I checked the "completed" listings and sure enough there were two OJs I've been looking for from that seller... yeah, ah PHUC, I missed it again ![]() Oh well, that's just how it goes. I've missed more good deals than I picked up, but the deals I have picked up have been good@ ![]()

Fred,
I do the completed search when I see multiple BINs too, ha! Some people are soooo quick, snatching up ojs seconds after they're listed. -Matt |

Matt,
I've had a few big scores on ebay, my best BIN score was a D304 Cobb that someone had for sale for about $500. It wasn't up for more than a couple of minutes when I accidentally found it. Yes, I sweated it out until I got it and determined it was REAL! It's all about good luck and timing...

Fred, WOW $500 for a D304 Cobb! The seller must have not cared enough for even a simple google search... I've picked up a few great cards for hundreds less then had it been auction, but nothing that cool.
Mike, the seller priced all of his cards the same, based on condition. Joe's vintage does this sometimes too and the good cards get cherry-picked right away. Last edited by Matthew H; 12-10-2011 at 04:36 PM. |

I can relate to this. Fellow board member Rhett put a E121 Fred Toney No Trees series of 80 up in his BIN for a great price. It had only been up for about an hour and I just stumbled on it. I have been looking for that forever. I could not believe what I was seeing when it came up in my Fred Toney search.
