Default CC auction up LIVE

The monthly fun thread for all of us. Here is a GREAT item that I selected. ONLY Coach's corner would have such an amazing item. Not Lelands, not REA, not Heritage, not Hunts, Not Legendary, etc etc. ONLY Coach's corner, your specialists in RARE AND FORGED ITEMS. Enjoy all.

I love the descriptions of autographed balls. Satchel Paige: "certified as real by the team at Stat Authentic for iron clad authenticity" and the classic Babe Ruth: "precertified already by Stat Authentic and features their coveted letter of authenticity" What the heck does "precertified" mean? Certified before the forger signed it? "Coveted lletter of authenticity"? Coveted by whom? Very funny stuff.

They certainly wasted no time putting up this new auction, since the last one ended Friday. Are they doing more auctions now since they are no longer handcuffed (or associated) with that dreaded Iola, WI based periodical that calls itself "the voice of the hobby"?

I pulled this from sports-rings (as mentions of what's in this month's bad boy): Christy Mathewson signed stationary, Lou Gehrig signed jersey, Babe Ruth signed jersey, Jimmie Foxx signed glove, Honus Wagner signed bat, 19th Century signatures like Brouthers, Radbourne...

That Cy Young is funny, but I am waiting for the ball in one of their future auctions where he will sign it: "Cy Young, One Day There Will Be An Award Named After Me!". Does adding the year give this orb more reason for legitimacy?

But I guess if someone from CCSA's inner circle (or CCSA) themselves says it's good, shoot, it must be! Iron-clad! No reason to doubt the authenticity! Lee saw him sign it himself! Guaranteed Forever by Lee! Can be seen from 20 feet away! Chris works for the Secret Service! Ted and Jeff, one of them works for the Babe Ruth museum! And my favorite...DOUBLE CERTIFIED!

How much would a real Cy Young signed ball fetch?

Lot 35 is a Morgan Silver Dollar slabbed an MS 66 (Gem Uncirculated). But there is no name of any company, recognized or otherwise, on the slab. That's a home made holder, and I have no clue who graded it.

I don't know how, but I somehow ended up on their mailing list or spam list. Now I don't usually care if someone sends me email about their auctions or website, but it bothers me when they do.

They have no way to unsubscribe which I believe is against the law. I have emailed them everytime I get an email saying I would never bid on their garbage so quit cluttering up my inbox. They apparently just keep ignoring my request as I still get this garbage.

I ck'd current items and "prices realized"; didn't see one legit thing EVER.
Hell, even the graded cards are from services I have never heard of.
This is criminal.

I spewed coffee when I read this description.

"This soiled old ball is not the cleanest babe Ruth ball, but, you also know that nobody forged a dirty, GU ball as well. It is red and blue laced, official as well, and comes black ink, sweet spot signed by the "Sultan of Swat" himself. Ball itself is a 3 or so, dirty, but not abused, while the sought after signature is a decent 5.5-6.0 overall. It can be read easily from 12 feet away and value is lower thousands. "

That was equivalent to an old Jerry Lewis movie.

I wonder is the card even original? Seems like an expensive card to put a fake sig on to sell for a few hundred. Why not just sell the card alone?

Gotta love the slew of Muhammad Ali autographs.

I don't think such a common signature has ever been forged on such a large scale.

Really love the 2 Sonny Liston autograph lots with no picture and no description. There's very few legitimate signed Liston items out there but Coach's has such a sterling reputation we should just take their word for it.

Collectors tip:

Buy all the unsigned albums you can get. in 10 years time there will be none left without a coachs corner forgery on it.
