I remember this issue coming up in another thread. In case anyone is curious I called today and to submit in person you have to submit a card at the walk through service level. $200 fee under a 10k value, 700 over 10k. I had a couple I wanted to submit at the $85 level and was told no.

Got to keep out the riffraff I suppose. But depending on where you are in California, PSA has an upcoming show this weekend listed on their website. You won't get instant turnaround because they still mail your items back to you. I've done this before when I wanted to take advantage of one of their specials but was getting a whole set graded. I wanted to avoid the shipping charges and potential damage on shipping something that big and heavy. But if you are interested, here's the info for this weekend.
The Hollywood Show 7/8/2016-7/9/2016 at Westin LAX 5400 Century Blvd Los Angeles CA, 90045 818 533-8204 www.hollywoodshow.com Hours: Friday - 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Saturday - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm PSA/DNA autograph authentication will be processed on-site on SATURDAY ONLY . Turnaround varies with demand; two hour guaranteed service is available for an additional fee. Letters of Authenticity will be issued by mail within two weeks after the completion of the show. Customer Service will be accepting take home submissions for PSA grading services and PSA/DNA autograph encapsulation service on FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ONLY. Return shipping is required. Jesse I recently did this with my CJ JJ and then got authorization to pick it up at PSA instead of being sent in the mail.

I've done the same once too. They were pretty nice about it and let me pick up a couple cards I had reholdered at the same time.

$700 for a card valued over $10K? That's insane. That's what it will cost at the Nat'l for onsite grading?
What if it's a card in an SGC holder and I want to have it crossed? Last edited by MVSNYC; 07-05-2016 at 08:36 PM. |

I agree the fee seems very high but yes it's the same for a cross over or if you're trying for a bump. If it's close you can declare the value at 9,900 and just pay 200. It looks like SGC charges 500 for a 10-25k value and 850 over 25k.
