Wayne is $2,200 over priced, but who cares? There are a lot of BIN cards that are over priced.

A lot of sellers list their cards on ebay without the expectation that they will be sold. The $3000 might just be a starting point for negotiations.

Matt, If you list for 3 x actual value, and after negotiations someone convinces you to take 2 x actual value, you still come out ahead!

I'm aware of what the process would be, just skeptical that it works...

Jim - I'm looking into it now, I think we can make it happen. The board has a lot of flexibility.

My feeling is if you have a card worth $1000 and you ask $1200, there is room to negotiate. But if you ask $3000, you just scare the buyers away.

Barry - I would have thought like you, but I'm open to learning new things.

Considering the same cards are listed indefinitely, it doesn't appear a whole lot of offers are being made.

Its his card. He is entitled to set the price. Perhaps he is just trying to use it as marketing to alert people to him, who he is, and perhaps attract someone to see what else he has on his website.
why always to quick to hammer people? |

It's understood he can ask whatever he wants. We're just having a discussion about marketing strategy, that's all.

yea I was a little too aggressive in that response. I just think that some of these guys use ebay as marketing to draw traffic to their own sites, and rightly so.

I agree on the marketing point, David,
... unless when you get to their site(s), and find that the $$ inflation is pretty much across the board, then you have to ask/wonder. -- Mike |

Problem is even when you price cards according to what they sell for you get these guys who will still offer you ALOT less than its worth. Best example I can give is My T205 Cobb and 54 Aaron RC. The Cobb is at $650 BIN or BO and is a 1-1.5 grade. They are selling for $500-$700 in recent sales yet I get offers for $250, $300, and a few for less than $100 because it is fake
