Default D311 Pacific Coast Biscuit- Danzig with .....twist

Combining a great card set with one of my favorite collecting niches I was able to add this to my collection, from the National. Thanks again to Dan S. because without him I would have almost struck out finding stuff to add to my collection. Just thought I would share this since we don't see this kind of back everyday....best regards

Very cool.

Leon, wasn't there a similar card discussed about a year or two ago. I remember either a D310 or D311 that had a similar dance stamp advertisement on the back of one of those cards.

edited to add: Found the link. Same card, though apparently there's at least one other one out there. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...highlight=D311

Pretty neat.
Anyone have a clue what city "159 Church St" is in?

Leon,
I am pretty sure Cotillion Hall was located in Portland and is a historic point of interest. I am pretty sure that this stamp was also added later, possibly in 1914 or 1915....Portland were the champs in 1914 and Cotillion Hall was built that year. It is possible that the dance was held then. Just some ideas...maybe checking some old newspaper accounts from Portland might shed some light.

There was indeed a Cotillion Hall in Portland, but in this instance the Cotillion Hall on 159 Church St. was located in San Francisco. I found a citation referring to it in the San Francisco municipal record from 1910.
