Notice that each of the cards has an obligatory crease to make it look old.

I remember getting all of those cards in 1983. They came in a hobby collecting kit that I picked up at my 6th grade book fair. Those orange-bordered cards of Cobb and Young (and also Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson and Mickey Mantle) were included, as were five reprints: that LaJoie, a "T207" Lewis and "T206" Wagner, Plank and Magee.
Someone ought to ask that seller where those other cards went, as the "set" in not complete without them. |

Barry, what do you mean "to make it look old""? The Cobb says he played from 1905-1927. Everyone knows that Cobb's final season was actually 1928. So the Cobb must have been issued just before the 1928 season. What a great group of cards!

But they are "very antique" as the description states!
Also interesting that both seller and bidder have "0" feedback.

Nobody in their right mind would bid on that crap. a Mike King Kelly CCorner auction signature (fake as it is) is more antique. At least the paper is old that its forged on. ![]() |

Did you notice that they are listed under "baseball lots 1975-1979"?

"My Cards are very antique they start out from1890-1933."
I just wonder how came up with 1890. |

The Cy Young card shows 1890 as the year he started playing.

So I guess he thinks the Young was issued in 1890, even though it says 1911 right on it. It's also interesting that he says his cards are from 1890-1933, and 1933 is the (approximate) issue date of the Lajoie. But he lists his Lajoie as 1905.
