T206 Foster:

The M116 is Eddie (Edward Cunningham) Foster. He played for the following teams:
1906 Kansas State League (D) Coffeyville Bricks
1907 Tri-State League (B) Harrisburg Senators
1908 Tri-State League (B) Williamsport Millionaires
1909 Eastern League (A) Jersey City Skeeters
1910 American League (MLB) New York Highlanders
1911 Eastern League (A) Rochester Bronchos
1912 - 1919 American League (MLB) Washington Senators
1920 - 1922 American League (MLB) Boston Red Sox
1922 - 1923 American League (MLB) St. Louis Browns
The only "Ed" Foster (per T206 Checklists) to play for Charleston is Ed (Edward Lee) Foster. He played for the following teams:
1906 Georgia State League (D) Columbus/Brunswick River Snipes
1907 South Atlantic League (C) Charleston Sea Gulls
1908 American League (MLB) Cleveland Naps
1908 South Atlantic League (C) Jacksonville Jays
1909 NO RECORDS
1910 Connecticut State League (B) New Haven Prairie Hens
1911 - 1912 Connecticut State League (B) New Haven Murlins
1913 - 1914 South Atlantic League (C) Charleston Sea Gulls
1914 - 1915 South Atlantic League (C) Macon Peaches
1918 - 1919 American Association (AA) St. Paul Saints
1919 Texas League (B) San Antonio Bronchos
1919 Texas League (B) Waco Navigators
1920 - 1921 American Association (AA) St. Paul Saints
1923 American Association (AA) St. Paul Saints
During my T206 player research, it appears that most, if not all Minor and Southern League players are depicted with their 1909 team. Is it possible that an image two years prior to T206 production was used for the set? Also, the Manager for the 1909 Charleston Sea Gulls/Knoxville Appalachians (team relocated and was renamed) was Stephen Griffin.
What are your thoughts on this...
