Local Antique shop has a old fold up wooden chair with a insert blue advertisment metal sign back for Piedmont Cigarettes. The chair has been painted white.--overall very nice original piece--any ideal of value's?
Anybody interested?? I don't collect this type items--thanks, Tom |

Tom, back in the 90's they were going for around $3-400. I haven't followed them in awhile though. My dad helped me strip one that was painted lime green. The Piedmont stamping on the wood was left unharmed once this was done. Nice collectibles if you have the room.

I remember seeing a couple for sale in the last 12-24 mos. in Mastro or REA. I liked them and watched the lots to see the final price. I don't recall, but I was thinking $300 and some, before the buyer's prem. Check the new archive section on Legendary's website and you might find the final price. Let us know if you make the purchase. What is the Antique shop asking?
Good Luck, George |

I agree with the value assessments above - repainted chairs especially are maybe in the $200 range.
