Thats a McCarthy postcard, you can see his logo in the bottom left corner. He took photos of everyone in the major leagues. He also made football, basketball and hockey postcards. |

Nothing like the thrill of being eight years old and actually having your favorite player send you their autograph. We had a thread here about autographs we've obtained personally. When I was a kid I did the same with Kaline, Banks and Aaron, and a few others. Imagine doing that now...if you got anything in return it would be an invoice along with the card. |

Alot of the McCarthy's had preprinted autographs on them, players would then autograph them. Thats why some have 2 "autographs" on them |
