Default Al & Ivey Wingo Items Wanted

Jim Stinson (vintage Baseball autographs) emailed his latest vintage autographs update listing earlier today. In today's listing, he has the following item offered for sale:

133) AL "RED" WINGO 1920's exhibit postcard pictured in Detroit Tigers uniform. Pristine condition exhibit and signature. Al was the brother of major leaguer Ivy Wingo. Al played for the Philadelphia Athletics 1919 and for the Detroit Tigers 1924-1928 A tough autograph especially on something as substantial as a 20's exhibit. (Died-1964) $250.00

I, personally, consider Jim one of the top vintage baseball autograph dealers out there. His integrity is tops. He's a nice guy too.

As a collector of vintage Detroit Tigers autographs, I took notice of this item. I'm not interested in it though, because I already have a beautiful signed exhibit card example in my collection. So I immediately thought of you.

You can e-mail Jim with questions, or to purchase, at: jim@stinsonsports.com

Good luck.

Pat,

I stumbled across this vendor website (http://www.sportsartifacts.com/mattedpcl.html)

and Al "Red" Wingo matted late 1920's/early 1930's Zeenut card and autograph cut combination:

()

I've never dealt with this vendor or website before, but I thought you might have some interest:

Good Luck.

Thanks. I saw this previously. The card shown is a reproduction (just picked up an original from Larry Fritsch). I just picked up a Wingo signature from Jim Stinston. Thanks again for your help.

Patrick
