Default 1926 50th photos

Posted By: brock

Hi
Im going to try to sell these on the forum before i decide to send them off to mastronet's next auction. Ok These are team composite photos of the Tigers,Cubs, and the New York Knickerbockers from the 1880's. Robert from REA believes these were made in 1926 for the 50th anniversary of the national league. These are in good shape, they show wear, the top left photo on the Knickerbocker has bubbles in it i dont know from what, and the Cub one has two tiny pin holes on the top left and right. The Tiger one is in good shape no holes or anything just the little wear on the corners and the discolor. The pictures of the players are from the 1880's old judge cards. If your wondering what these are worth in the last REA auction they sold one for $700 that had Connie Mack on it and back in the 1999 Barry Halper auction they sold 4 for $3,450. So these are very rare. My asking price for these together is $2,350. But i will split them up if you want. If split up the Cubs would be $550 no hall of famers, Tigers would be $1,150 because its in good shape and has two hall of famers on it,Brouthers and Thompson. And the last the New York Knickbocker would be $650 and that has one hall of famer Ward. These would be great for any person who collects vintage photos. One more thing i believe when they made these photos they used the names of the teams that year and not the name of the team from the 1870 to 1880's, because the Tigers were not around then and i believe the same with the Cubs. Please feel free to e-mail. Thanks
