Default Chico's!

Dave,

Love the logo! That has been the name of my fantasy baseball team for 12 years. Great movie!

Best,

Bobby, do you collect N172's at all. I remember buying some from a guy named Bobby and I think he lived in Columbus. are there any good card shops in the Columbus area ? Shops and shows here in the Dayton market are few and far between.

yes the Chico's Bail Bonds logo has long been a favorite of mine. You would be surprised at how many people don't know what movie it's from !

The head coach is currently my high school teacher for International Business. Great guy.

Lived one year in Hamilton, Ohio when I was 12 and played in the State baseball tournament. They closed down the Whirlpool plant there, though, and we were off to St. Joe, Michigan.

Ohio- there must be at least 1 real baseball card there, I just haven't found it yet. For some reason there seems to be a very high proportion of tainted cards from this state. regards

Born and raised in Akron, after college I got married and moved to Cinci for 6 years. About 7 years ago, we moved to Florida. Still love to reminisce about my old stomping grounds in NE Ohio though. Still pull for the Buckeyes too (except for when they are playing Purdue).

Grew up in NE Ohio, but left awhile back and live in Philly now. Avid Tribe Fan to this day, and I probably should be a better Browns fan but its been quite difficult to take over the years (since they came back in '99).

Default Circleville

Corbin:

I'm not from Ohio, but two of my college roommates are so I've spent a fair amount of time in the state. I was in Ohio in November for a wedding - my one roommate got married for the third time. Don't ask. This one's a keeper. Anyway...

On the drive from Columbus to Chillicothe we rode through Circleville and I was moved to take a picture of your water tower!

The good ol' Giant pumpkin that watches over our city while we sleep If you go about 30 minutes from here off , in the town of Jackson, Ohio, there is an apple water tower. However, it is not nearly as awesome as the great pumpkin

Default Not in Ohio BUT....

I happened across a poster of sorts at a card shop today here in St. Louis, it says on the bottom "Columbus Baseball Club, 1938"...and has a black and white photo of the entire team. Its framed, but a little rough around the edges, but if anyone is interested I can get you the contact info. The seller is asking $100obo. Just thought I would pass this along. Im not allowed on the BST, and besides, it isnt mine, so "whatevers clever Trevor!". Thanks guys.

Lots of you guys! So how many members of the forum are not from Ohio? My family traveled across your state in a covered wagon back in 1961 on the way out to Colorado. Haven't had a chance to get back since although I want to hit those roller coasters at Cedar Point before I get too geriatric.
