postcard question
Posted By: Leslie Westbrook
I'm sure some of you saw this 1907 postcard on Ebay (I just won the auction as the only bidder). I'm curious as to why this had no bids? Was 10 bucks really too high for this postcard? Is it a reprint? Or is it simply because it's just a high school team? The main reason I bought it was because my last name is Westbrook, and I think it's kind of neat (worth 10 bucks to me even if it is a reprint). Any info would be appreciated. |

FYI...Westbrook High still exists. Westbrook, Maine is just west of Portland, Maine. I saw the postcard as well. |

$10 is about right for that postcard and it is not a reprint. Cards like that unless you can identify someone of significance on the card are always going to sell in that range. |

An hour south of me, was going to bid, but got called out on a job. Give me a shout if you want your investment back. |

Thanks for the responses. I won't be selling this one, however. I grabbed it primarily because Westbrook is my last name and it will make a nice framed piece to go with my collection. If anyone out there has a team lineup to go with this picture, please let me know. |
