Default Follow up to I wonder.....thread

I never thought this thread would take off as it has. My reason for starting it was initially thinking about selling my collection as I have gotten older. But you guys have revived an old spark in me I thought might have gone out.
Every time I started to list something I'd get this nostalgic feeling in my gut that I would be parting with something from my past or my lost youth.
What would I do with the money ? I really didn't need it. Could I look at it, would it bring back memories of my childhood that I cherished. No, it would look like all the rest of the money in the bank.
I have a collection of over 100 baseball cards of Bobby Richardson and many items in a display at a local hotel in my town that I collected over decades and that Bobby has given me. We have been friends for half a century and see each other at a breakfast club on Friday mornings.
As much as I enjoy collecting his things, I realized my love for all the players and cards I have acquired. I'm very blessed to have come along in life when I did. Collecting cards in the 50's with my friends is one of my fondest memories.
So I've decided, when I'm gone it's my family's job to decide what to do with it. Thanks again for just speaking up.

Hey, I think you made the right decision!

And that's great that you know Bobby Richardson! What a gentleman and class act. Tell him we all said hello!
