Hi.....now that the holidays are upon us, I am in deperate need of an inexpensive gift for my 11 year old nephew. He is an avid Red Sox fan, and modern day card collector. I would like to get him his first graded vintage card, so if any of you have one that you are willing to let go for around $20, please let me know. Grade not important, or series for that matter. Any ideas??? Happy Holidays from Derek the Lurker. |

How about a Ted Williams card? I am sure he knows of Ted and a card from the 1959 Fleer Williams set would certainly be affordable. |

How about the mutton chop Yaz card from the Topps set, circa 1973? |

Any 59 Fleer Ted Williams would be nice. You might also consider a modern certified autograph insertcard of an old timer like Jime Rice or Yaz. The autographs are authentic on the certified cards, as the players are under contract to sign with the card manufacturers. |

If im not mistaken the Redsox have been the Redsox since 1907 so there should be a ton of cards out there to choose from. Why not a PSA 1 or 2 tobacco card of a Redsox player? What cooler gift then a 97 year old baseball card of a player from your favorite team? |

I would highly recommend a low grade slabbed T206 Boston player card. The Harry Niles card in this set is gorgeous, as just one example. The historic importance is unparalleled and the slab will keep the card protected for the young guy. |

Not a bad way to go and he won 20 games for Boston in 1912. Looks like it will end well within your budget. |

Great ideas! I will be leaning towards the t206 and t207 mentioned...I am biased towards that era anyhow. Besides ebay, do any of you have a lowgrade red sox to sell? Thanks again guys! |
