Does anyone have any info about this card? Such as what year it was made or the players name or team? It was taken sometime between 1860 and 1890. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

I would have to say that is 1870s, maybe not even be baseball, still very nice with the ad on reverse. The letter in the middle is hard to read, but I would start there and see what comes up for PA. Many CDV photos started to show some color at that time, most of the early ones from the 1860s did not have color - maybe they tried something new. It almost seems color was added after, many CDV issues got replaced in the 1880s and 90s by the cabinet cards. |

It's 1870s. There's no bat or ball, but my guess is its a baseball player. |

The general rule for baseball photographs is the earlier the rarer. The 1870s isn't the 1860s or 50s, but is still fairly early. 1870s baseball photos are rarer than 1880s or 1890s baseball photos. |
