Eric- Congrats on the E90-1 Shean. It was the last card I needed for my set and I looked long and hard for it. Extremely undervalued card. |

A rat? LOL. Don't know that I have ever called anyone a rat. I'm sure if I did it was meant in jest. I couldn't remember where the Shean came from, I just know it was a hard, hard pickup. |

According to Lichtman, in that photo Jennings is looking for his stimulus check. |

I re-completed a set that I had a few years ago, the 1924 WG7 Walter Mails game. It is one of my all-time favorite sets because of the "funkiness" factor in the pictures/images that they chose and some of the captions under the images describing things like "New York Giants $75,000 Beauty". I initially had sold half the set and kept the other, so I was able to pick up the half that I had initially sold. My complete set is the far tougher blue backed set, and I was able to pick up the box to go with it as well (although it is pretty beat). |

Nice card Bob. I like those PCB's with the colorful but muted look. You know if that is Boss Schmidt who caught for the Tigers? He only played a short season in the majors in 1911, so he could have been in the minors to have a card that year. He was also a catcher. |

I think the PCB is Walter Schmidt. Played for Pittsburg 1916-1924 and St. Louis in 1925. |

Wow Steve. 8 minutes. That's how long it took to find someone that knew that an obscure minor leaguer that no one ever heard of on a card set long forgotten was a family member of an obscure major leaguer that no one ever heard of. |

Thanks JoAnn. Both Walter and his brother Boss were from Coal Hill, Arkansas, just down the road from here. Much easier to get Arkansans like Dizzy Dean, Lou Brock, Bill Dickey, Arkie Vaughn, Travis Jackson, Brooks Robinson, Tori Hunter, etc. so a nice pick up. Thanks again to Dave. |
