I am in the process of deconstructing a derelict scrapbook album from 1891, and thought you all might appreciate these little guys (the upright one is about 3" tall.) They are die cut Oblaten, or scraps, likely printed in Germany in a sheet. They had been cut apart (you can see the tabs where they were connected) and pasted into the album. Enjoy! |

Tom tells me they are from the R&S Artistic Series, and when I Google, I see there were a total of ten. In this album are nine of the ten, and some dupes. Most are in pretty good shape too, we'll see once I leverage them out (oh so carefully!) |

is my guess! i bought some Judo cards like this on e-bay a few months back and two different collectors told me they were from 1911. they look older to me! |
