Hi - I am looking to sell these two cards (recently back from SGC - my first experience grading with SGC) - I would appreciate receiving opinions as to the value of these two cards and would also appreciate receiving opinions on whether it is best to list them on the Net54 B/S/T or on ebay (auction or BIN) to get the best return - Thank you in advance. |

Nothing personal in what I am about to say but......Just to let you know...it is frowned upon, and against the rules of our forum, to list for sale cards on this front page. If you need to find out values you should sign up for a price guide or ask some other way. You can always email friends and ask too....but the front page is not the place to do what you did. As far as listing on ebay or the BST pages....that is hard to say. Both can be good places...Personally, I like the BST pages but I am biased. Have a good one...and happy hunting...take care |

Hi Leon - I am sorry for any issues with my post - I am selling a 1939 tigers baseball and listed it in the B/S/T memoribilia selling section asking for offers - I received a not too pleasant email from a board member who said I should not be asking for price info in the selling section - I should post a message asking for pricing info first and then put it in the memoribila section only when I have a price for it so I was following their advice. I am also interested in the value of the cards based on their appearance rather than just their grade ( as the guides show) - the MCCraw to me looks realy nice from the front (has paper on the back) and the Ruth is A - I am going to list them in the BST section of Net54 - I just do not know what the real value is rather than the guide value - Can I list it there and ask for offers - last time I did that with a Tigers baseball - I received some grief form a board member - Thank you for letting me know I have listed and sold a few other items and have received some really nice responses and solid advice form many nice people on the board - thank you |

OK..I understand. You are getting somewhat of a runaround so for that I apologize. You are absolutely fine by listing anything in the BST section and saying "taking offers". That being said I don't think that is the best way to sell there and am more than willing to help with pricing situations if you email me(and I know the items being sold). One thing you can do is put a fairly high price on the cards and say you are accepting reasonable offers. If the 2 values you have in your mind, are $600 and $100 respectively...then put them up there at a tad more and say you will take that price or an acceptable offer. It's very hard to tell exactly where these cards will sell, given their condition. Once again sorry for the issue and it sounds like you are only doing what you were told to do.....take care now... |
