Wrapper Images and Info Help Please

Hi All,

I've been searching for quality images of a few wrappers and am nearing the end of my list. Was hoping someone here might be able to help with images of wrappers for:

All Goudeys besides 1933, 1934, 1936 and 1941
1933 Tatoo Orbit
1939 Play Ball
1940 Play Ball
1941 Play Ball
1941 Double Play
1948 Bowman
1949 Leaf
1949 Bowman (r/w/b)
1949 Bowman (g/o/w)
1953 Bowman B/W
1953 Topps (any)
1954 Topps 5c

Any other obscure pre-war wrapper images out there that I may be overlooking?

Next, I've found two yellow variations for 1934 Diamond Stars - "More New Art Pictures To Come" and "Three New Art Pictures Just Out", as well as a single blue variation. Does anyone know of other variations?

Also, does anyone know what type of packaging 1933 US Caramel's came in?

Sorry I know a couple of these are post-war, but I think it's not too far off topic. I apologize if it is Leon.

These 1940 Play Ball wrappers were auctioned

by Mastro a couple of years ago. If I remember

correctly, the set of three sold for around $2,000.

You may get a dissenting opinion on these , but the information I have is that the one that doesn't say "baseball" on it is from the sp series.

sorry this is post war, but if it helps here's a couple of packs with the wrappers you were looking for. The '54 Topps is the Canadian issue, with just 4 cards.

There were two 1938 Goudey wrappers. Here they are:



I believe the second wrapper (the one with less ink) is from the second series, but I have no reason to believe that other than my own bloated sense of self-importance.

Yes....my 1949 Bowman GREEN-ORANGE-WHITE wrapper is neat, and it is extremely RARE....
so rare....that I can't find anyone that knows what series it was issued in, in 1949.

Ted I wish I could help. My only thought, based on its rarity, is that it's somehow connected to the PCL's. But that belief can only be credited to my "bloated sense of self importance" haha

I probably shouldn't get greedy, but since I'm getting such help, can I also ask for the following 1933 Goudeys:

Batter front, 6 figure
Batter front, 3 figure
Ad-front, 3 corner

I was able to locate images, but they're quite small.

Ted- I think the yellow 1941 Play Ball wrapper is the toughest of the four colors. I found a hoard of about 25-30 wrappers a number of years ago and there wasn't a single yellow in the group.

Come to think of it did you get those from me?

The Green one I acquired back in the 1980's. But, you remember well, as I did get the Orange
and the Red ones from you. Anyhow, I have a Yellow wrapper; but, I cannot find it. I am not
sure if I got the Yellow one from you.

Here is another Goudey wrapper that I had mixed in with an assortment of wrappers. Do you
recognize this one ?

how many cards came in these packs? i'm guessing 5 cent packs carried 5 cards and 1 cent packs had 1 card?
