Well ok, how about maple crispette cards? Would love to see scans, and hear any in depth info on this set from any experts...I've always thought these were kind of neat looking.

Dave, Maple Crispette cards are great. I would bet that if you listed your Pennock card on the BST in the near future, that it would do very well.

I don't believe that we've done any transactions so I have no issues with you personally. I would be certain to contact you personally if I did.

I was just pointing out to Wes that I think the card would do equally as well on eBay (its a popular issue) and that the BST shouldn't be your only option if it were a card that you decided upon selling down the road.

I was happy to pick up this Traynor this evening. I doubt I'll pick up anymore MC's unless I just stumble on something but am happy having both a Pennock and Traynor (solid HOF'ers) without breaking the bank on something like a Ruth or Bottomley.

I'd love to see what one of these cards in high grade (SGC 84 or something) would go for. Almost appears SGC 40 is mid-grade with this issue.

These were printed on poorer quality paper and very thin so the condition is often an issue.....my type of Cobby and a rare blank back

Thats funny on the Pennock, that scraggly line above the border on the top left. I thought it was a mark on mine..but I guess its on all or most Pennocks? Some glitch on the printer plate I guess? Now wondering if there is a Pennock without one.

I think my Cobby is an SGC 30....these are plagued by wrinkles.....and when I mentioned thin stock I should have said "thinner" as there are other issues much thinner.....this series might be more "medium-thin"
