I sent in 6 cards to PSA for 1/2 grading and none of them got bumped up, ouch. I felt that a couple of the cards should have moved up a full grade, much less a half grade. Oh well, at least I helped out their stock price. I would not waste my time with 1/2 grades. |

Me either, however many people have in fact received bumps. |

Tony, thanks for the update. I had thousands I was mulling over sending in, but this convinces me not to waste the cash. |

Can you please tell me what the turn around time was on your cards? Were they all high end express? |

I used my 6 free gradings, since I just renewed my collectors club membership, so the cards had to be valued at $500 or lower. I sent in a range of cards from a PSA 8 1962 Gaylord Perry rookie to a PSA 2 1914 Cracker Jack Grover Alexander. I got the cards back in 5 working days, which is what they guarantee for this type of submission. |

0 for 6 just about clinches it for me. I won't waste my time sending any in either. |

I'd recently sent in three, two SGCs and a BVG, for equal grade crossovers. Neither made the cut. This has never happened to my crossovers before. It was a waste of time and dime. Seems PSA is buckling down. |

I thought the labels would be different? So is it conceivable that the same card (say a PSA 7 1962 Mays) could be sold three or four times and each time around, the new buyer could try for a higher grade? |

Against my better judgment I submitted under the half-grade service a baker's dozen of my higher value cards that I thought deserved a bump. So far I'm batting a lean 1-for-7. (My T206 Young Portrait was bumped from PSA 4 to 4.5) I'm still waiting for the verdict on the last six cards. I figure the FMV increase on the Young from the bump will almost offset the grading fees for the 13 cards, but it is clear that with PSA's tough standard for bumps the half-grade service will not be a goldmine for most collectors. |

or does anyone think the bumps will be going to the big spenders? |

I sent in 3 with no grade changes and the grades were posted online within the 5 business days. |

Out of 6 cards I sent in, I got a bump only on 1 of them -- a T206 Tinker, bat off shoulder, bumped from 4 to 4.5. Overall, it was not worth the money spent in re-submitting the cards. |
