Just a heads up. I went to the pre-1930 baseball card category on eBay and there are a number (of the smae picture) of X rated pictures up. All of them are in the special category (whatever price bracket that is) that leads off the front page. VERY OBVIOUS!!! |

Doesn't exactly look pre-1930 to me. Yikes! For the kids' sake, hopefully that gets removed quickly! |

That video is classic. It's the dumming down of America. We evolved and gained brain size by eating meat. Too many veggies now. |

I'll do a test run on my students at school tomorrow and see how many of those questions they can answer. It could be interesting, my students are of the "Welcome Back Kotter" type. |

Brad, ask people around you (I assume you posted it because you are Canadian), I'll bet they don't do any better. You gotta love idiotic stereotypes. |

Canada is more in tune to the rest of the world, we're a common wealth country don't you know! And yes Canadians like to watch American NEWS and compare how different it is from the rest of the world. |

Are you basing what you know of the USA by our news or have you spent a lot of time here? Not trying to start a fight or anything, just curious. |

Those interviews are funny. It seems to me that one of the features of living in a relatively free and prosperous society is that many of us are free to focus on some very narrow and trivial things. It's an unfortunate possibility. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if the interviewer sometimes stumbled across Americans who could answer any question that he threw at them. Are Canadians more worldly? It's hard to generalize: having spent 6 years in Toronto, it seems to me that the average Torontonian knows neither more nor less about world affairs than does the average Bostonian or New Yorker. But Canadians do know infinitely more about our culture, economy, history, politics, etc. than we do about theirs. That is because they find it somehow interesting. |
