that the submitter marked them "1909" and SGC just went with it. |

OK. I'll take a crack at it. I'm not very familiar with all the Obaks, but the style of these cards looks more like the 1910's and maybe 1911's? Or did I just take a big swing and miss? |

Agreed Leon. The seller and the grading company are top notch in my book. But, I'd expect a understated response due to the company -- call it collector community equity. |

slabed my E107 as Ira Thomas instead of Roy Thomas. The person who sent it in probably wrote the wrong name on the form and i don't think SGC checks every single card to be graded. |

SGC is the absolute best. No question about it. |

It would be nice if the grading companies educated themselves a little better and indicated the correct year on a few of the different sets. T206 and N172 are two issues that they use a generic year (1909 and 1887, respectively). Both of these are widely collected yet the years on all (or most that I've seen) are set to one specific year. |

And I was all excited about a group of 4 1909s. What a let down. I figured between davidbvintage and SGC one of them could get it right. Oh well, saves us money. |
