1922 E121

I purchased eighteen 1922 E121 American Caramel series of 120 cards. All cards measure correctly. In this collection 12/18 cards have a miscut back (only) like the Dixie Davis card below. I have not seen E121's cut so bad on back and then 12 show up at once. Bad batch from the factory, kept together? Your thoughts?

I have handled quite a few E121's. I think that was just a bad printing batch you have there. I have never seen any that were that off centered on the back.....They are kind of cool and might even bring a small premium if sold....best regards

I'll mail you a type if you want one. I needed two cards, both correct backs and will move the rest. I may keep a MC type as well.

Some of them look hand-cut. I vote for a misprinted sheet that was salvaged from the trash at the printer's and later cut by hand. That would explain the wavy cut and why they are all still together as a group after all these years.
