It's the best $50 you will ever spend. It will add a hundred or two of value to every common you own, and up to thousands of dollars on key cards (if you are talking about beat up commons with pinholes you probably don't really need a slab). |

Yep, Josh is correct PSA= $50. They need a grader on each corner to lift those massive slabs. |

Not to hijack the thread, but any opinions on whether it would be worth the money to get this one slabbed? Its pretty beat up around the border, but the image is nice and its a HOFer. |

Josh, I would. Borders are rough but the image is very clean nice. Eddie is very underrated. My lone T3 is in far worse shape and sits in a PSA Auth slab. |

Personally I wouldn't get it slabbed. With the condition as obvious as it is I am not sure it would sell for more in a holder. If I were buying it I wouldn't pay more for it in a holder...others may have differebt opinions though...best regards |

I think the bergen looks pretty nice and would increase in value if slabbed. |

I actually saw my first T3's in person this weekend and they were amazing. The size is perfect and they have great color depth. |

I'm always struck when a cetain pefect storm of condition occurs, often heavy wear to edges and a chunk or two missing - combined with a stunning crystal clear image. It really is a blazer to my eyes, and the wear simply conveys the times and travels its seen. Kind of a steinbeckian hit the road card |

I think the T3's should be slabbed, especially HOF'ers. It is far and away easier to handle them and show them to friends or display. Skip Starbucks for a couple of weeks and the slab is paid for. You will no longer worry about dropping of bumping them again. Smell and feel them once before submission to get it out of your system. SGC is the way to go if you want to keep them for yourself; if thinking for sale, look into PSA also. |

SEAN - I would wait till you had another 1 or 2 to submit (be it PSA or SGC). |

I just got back several T3's and N173's from SGC- the holders are beautiful and not too cumbersome. I'm not sure how one deals with a complete set of slabbed T3's- you might need a wagon or flatbed truck to move them around the house- but they are nice looking holders. |

Dan- let's not mince words. In my last auction I was given a raw T3 Matty and I remember my consignor saying he really hoped it didn't sell for less than $2500. We sent it to SGC, got it slabbed a 60, and it sold for $11,000+. |

I know Barry, it is about the $$$, amazing that people pay those prices based on a number that a non-knowledgable collector assigns? Damn that was an impressive statement! |

I have a set full of raw T3s, I am considering burning them in front of witnessess and a TV camera instead of having them slabbed. |

Barry, I know you are and I agree, the fight is over thanks to the new ignorant money that has entered the hobby. Great for us who are selling, bad for the legit new collector who wants to complete a good RAW rare set. |

While I prefer SGC for grading and their smaller holders, I actually prefer PSA over-sized T3 holders. When I won my lone T3 which is a PSA 3, my wife looked at me and said, "why would you want to collect anything else?" |

The SGC holders offer a nice black background that complement the colors...the PSA slabs are translucent. Both work, I guess. |
