I recently acquired two full newspapers from 1909, which have advertisements for Hindu cigarettes and featuring T206 baseball cards. I would like to display these, but would, obviously, have to cut the newspaper to put them in frames. In addition, I'd have to find acid free backing and UV protected glass to keep them looking the same as they do now. Anyone have any success in framed newspapers? Or think I shouldn't cut the newspaper to frame the advertisement? Suggestions? Comments? |

I have a framed copy of the 1918 Boston Globe announcing the Red Sox as World Champions. It has been placed in a sleeve mounted to a backing, which sits perfectly behind the matting. Fortunately, it is the front piece so it does not need to be folded other than how it was folded in 1918. |

...I've decided to go with an archival storage binder, which allows me to view the newspaper in full whenever I want, and then put it back in the shelf when I am done looking. |
