i don't know much about the set but what i do know is that it was a hobby set,it is unnumbered,over-sized and blank backed. all these factors play into a sets lack of popularity with most collectors. |

it was a set of cards sold/given away? by the trading post a very early sports collectors pub (1940's). so it wasn't a mainstream set sold over the counter so to speak. |

My Opinion, they (Sports Exchange) are the TCMA of the late 1940's. They are a "collectors issue" and thats why they suffer price wise. |

The minis were issued in sheets, with the intent that they be cut apart. I think that's another reason why the prices are low. I happen to like the minis. The Spahn is especially nice. |
