I bought Mrs Edd Roush's NY Giants season pass (silver charm with Mrs. Rousch's name engraved on back) from Rousch's granddaughter. She seemed like a nice woman and she said she and her mother had a very large collection of Roush's stuff, including his 1920 World Series medal (or whatever it is called). She and her mother were not oridinarily sellers, but I mentioned I would buy something and she gave me a scan of the season's pass. I don't think she knew what it was worth and accepted my offer (I unintentionally offered too much). I told her that Rousch's World Series award was worth lots of money, but I think she knew that. This was several years ago, but at the time she enthusiastic about Edd Rousch and his history and no doubt knew 2,000 times more about him that I. |
