A few more tidbits.....my guess is more folks like seeing these than respond....which is all good. I know I certainly like seeing a lot of it......Jackson cabinet and Cy.....sorry for the poor contrast on the cabinet...it was a real dark as a scan.....I am sure the original is awesome..enjoy. (I left the scans big as there shoudn't be anymore in this thread) |

These shots from Fogel's collection is all great stuff. I don't know about others - I love seeing them, but don't have much to respond...except by saying "Wow" - which doesn't add much to the thread. Please keep posting these as much as possible! |

I enjoy seeing some of the nicest cards in our hobby as well. I collect 1920's era mostly, have any of those to show. Thanks for sharing! |

Is it just me, or do the upper corners of the Young look really soft? |

I didn't want to say anything, but I thought the corners were a little soft, but, then again, it could be the scan. |

Marshall Fogel has by far the greatest collection of baseball cards in the world. |

Adam, he probably has one of the best, but it's probably a stretch to say it is the best. There are a lot of long time collectors out there with incredible collections that only a select few people have been able to see. I can think of at least 3 collections off the top of my head that are more than likely better than his. All 3 of these gentlemen have few if any slabbed cards. |

That is a beautiful image on the cabinet, but it looks really weird. I have never seen a cabinet photo from that era which shows that much pronounced wear on the corners of the photo portion without extensive wear to the cabinet itself that was 100% authentic. It almost looks like a Real Photo Postcard that was stuck on there (either vintage or later). It is a beautiful piece, but just looks odd in its construction to me. Maybe the mount has more wear that was cropped out or something. |

Not only does Marshall Fogel have the greatest baseball collection in the world, he is kind enough to share his cards with everyone here. |
