I recently purchased the game with blue tinted cards, but the game I bought included only 48 cards. The text on the game play side of each card, as well as the sequence of numbers running down the right-hand side, is unique. Old Cardboard lists the complete set as including "50?" cards. Is 50 correct, and does anyone know of a checklist identifying all the cards in the set by their respective game play instructions or the right-hand column numbering, so I can figure out exactly what I'm missing if I do in fact need two more specific cards to complete the set? Thanks. |

I've done most of the work now. I ordered mine numerically by the right hand column. If Julie or anyone else has a card with a sequence of numbers other than one of these, let me know. Thanks. |

Glenn, we show the number of cards in the set at 50 (with a ?) based on a Leland's auction held May 30, 2003 for a complete set in which the auction write-up stated there were "50 Napoleon Lajoie cards." If you find differently, please let us know. Your sequencing of each of the 48 cards that you have is very helpful in narrowing down the search. Good luck with your research. --Lyman |

Thanks, Lyman. I wasn't aware of that auction. Now if I could only track down the winner I'd be getting somewhere. Does anyone here happen to know who won this possibly complete/possibly redundant set of 50? For that matter, who else here owns ANY of these 1913 LaJoie game cards? Granting that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, I would feel fairly confident that the set is complete at 48 if the members of the forum collectively own, say, 200 of them and none are different from the ones I've catalogued above. Presumably all the cards were produced in equal numbers. |

I"ve got 1 example of the Blue series and about a dozen Reds, along with the box and sheet, etc. I"ll check and see if the sequence on the blue is any different that what you have. |
