I was just panning through the latest issue of Old Cardboard and came upon a two page photo. It's a wonderful reference tool as now I can associate names with faces. The only problem I see with the photo is Jay Behrens. He has added his picture to the group photo. Best to all and I really wish I could have been there to meet some of you. |

Chris, I was the photographer. That is why a picture of me was added. I haven't seen the touched up photo, so I have no clue how I look in the photo. |

I think you did a good job with the photo and I am glad you are in it. You post quite often and now I can associate a name with your face. It makes posting easier for some reason. You always have an idea about what someone looks llike from their post and now to see what people look like is very cool. For example, Leon is not what I thought he would look like. I pictured him to be older, but by his picture he is more like my age. Take care and the picture did turn out nice. |

As usual, another great issue Hardemans. I so enjoy reading and re reading each one when I receive it. Great jobs by David Fleitz (16 lesser known HOFers), JC Clarke on the Allen & Ginter A16 World Champions tobacco album, Adam Warshaw on exhibit cards (loved Chuck Connors in the Rifleman as a kid
Great to see the Network54 group well represented at the National (one of these days)
Since Jay Wolt has taken up Turkey Red collecting, I've enjoyed an ongoing relationship with him. In the last several months I've met Scott Mosley, Mike Peich, his Bowman collecting buddy and neighbor Ted, I look forward to meeting Dave Stinsman in the next week or so, and Jeff Mohler at an estate auction we enjoyed together 2 weekends ago. The rest of you...one of these Nationals.

PS - Dan Mckee - I didn't realize that was your father I so enjoyed talking to over the years at the Fort Washington shows until I saw his picture in this issue. Its been a while since I have (I haven't gotten to a show in a while), but I always said hi to him whenver I saw him. There was one show back in the 90s where a bunch of Turkey Reds were brought in for sale (a group of 30 EX ones.....the guy wanted $3000 for the bunch). Your Dad told me about em as soon as he saw me because he knew I collected them, but at the time I didn't have the coin. Later on I think the two of you were able to purchase most or all of them. Over the course of several shows I was able to purchase several from your Dad and still have them in my collection. |
