While it pales in comparison to most of the collections on this board, I have put my low grade T206 collection on Photobucket if anyone is interested. The "slideshow" takes about half an hour, but you can also look at the card indivdually by clicking on them. |

Nice collection. Thanks for posting them. While its OT for this forum the 55AA's look great in 5 and 6 - I've been thinking of starting that set in about that condition and you just pushed me over the top. |

mike i'm the same as you.grading cost $.i'm on a budget.so i find ungraded cards are cheaper to buy and would rather spend my $ on more cards.i have bought many graded cards. all my 50's and 60's stuff i have cracked out as my sets are in 9 pocket pages. i have never sent a card in to be graded, but i do like the look of the sgc holders so i might take the plunge and send some of my low end pre war t/e's to sgc. as of now i just put all the better pre war cards in the lucite holders. i do wish somebody would start selling the black backgronds for lucite holders (t and e cards). |

....in dribs and drabs. I just went to the East Coast National and met with a gentleman from SGC. I brought the T206's that I have not had graded by SGC yet. The SGC rep went through my collection with me and let me know which ones he thought would grade a 3 or higher -- about 60 or so cards. Any cards that do not grade a 3 (or a 2 in case of Southern Leaguers/HOFers), they will refund a little over half the grading price. So, it wasn't too bad. |

Most of the cards I have were bought "raw" and then sent to SGC for slabbing. I have been very pleased with their grading. I am coming to the end of the commons and will now have to pony up for low end HOFers and Southern Leaguers. |

T206collector - sounds like you got SGC to give you a pregrade like GAI offers (only GAI charges $5 each for the service). It would be great if SGC also offered a pregrade service for a fee, whereby you sent your card in for a pregrade. If you agreed or liked the grade, you have them slab it for an extra fee. But, if they are willing to do it for free --- I'm on board. |
