If it was you seeking an exhaustive list of cards of Jewish ballplayers in a prior post, best is to first get a list of the players(www.jewsinsports.org is as good as any), and then marry it up to Beckett's alphabetical checklist. Since the checklist provides only the names of the sets, you then need Bob Lemke's Catalog to flesh out needed details to assist in the quest. A similar approach works for football and basketball. Yes, Mark. It was me who was looking for the extensive listing of cards of Jewish players. Fleer in coordination with the American Jewish Historical Society recently produced a set of cards & they gave me some collectors who have been working on it, but I haven't seen anything yet. I know I can do it myself as you described, but that could be a massive undertaking...

Alan: there are personal preferences involved in the choices regarding which card of each player to include in any grouping.

All Mark suggested was:
1) get a list of the players you want to include
2) determine which sets depict each player
3) look up the sets in Lemke's Catalog to make your choice (including card appearance, relative cost, and other factors).

This is process is often considered routine practise among collectors.

Of course, if you have no reference materials; everything becomes difficult.
