| Wish I was at this sale

Posted By: Mike H I live in Ann Arbor and usually review auction listings. This is one sale I wish I had attended. I would love to know what they paid for it at sale. |

Posted By: Dan Bretta That's why you have to go out and hit as many as you can because I bet this clock was not even listed in the sale bill. Most auctioneers are completely clueless as to vintage baseball items. It was only by a stroke of luck and a fortunate cold that kept me from going to a one year old's birthday party instead of the auction where I happened upon the Tris Speaker bat. |

Posted By: Dan Bretta A sale is pending on the bat, but the buyer wishes to remain anonymous. |

Posted By: Brock G. I wish I were there too. I'm sure the seller turned a nice profit on that one. How cool would it be to find something like that at an estate sale. A few weeks back an 1860s trophy ball popped up on ebay and the seller said it came from an estate in Jacksonville. It gave me a little hope that I may unearth a gem someday at a local sale. |
